About this scholarship
Openly self-identified LGBTQ+ high school seniors graduating in the application year may apply if they have at least a 3.0 GPA, are U.S. citizens or legal immigrants, and will attend an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
This is a named memorial award within the LEAGUE Foundation's annual scholarship program. Award amounts are set each year. One application automatically considers you for all LEAGUE Foundation scholarships.
The award honors Laurel Hester, an Ocean County, N.J. police lieutenant who fought for the right to leave her pension and benefits to her surviving domestic partner.
