About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors who attend school in or reside in Laurel or Jones County, Mississippi, including public, private, and homeschool students, may apply for the Laurel Arts League Mandy Buchanan Creative Arts Scholarship.
Competitive awards of $1,000 are available; six scholarships are offered. You do not need to major in visual arts, but you must submit an original art portfolio.
Prepare a portfolio of original work, obtain letters of recommendation, complete the application, and submit all materials by April 3 to artsleaguescholarship@gmail.com.
The Laurel Arts League is a nonprofit that fosters the arts in the community. Payment is made directly to recipients, who are invited to a ceremony at Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.
