About this scholarship

U.S. citizens enrolled full-time at a LaSPACE member Louisiana college or university, or high school seniors admitted to one, may submit faculty-mentored research proposals for the LaSPACE LURA Program if they are pursuing a STEM field related to space or aerospace.

Awards are $4,500, with at least $3,500 paid directly to the student. Proposals are due June 15 for the August through May award period.

Students devote 10 to 20 hours per week to a mentored project with a written plan and final report. The program supplements undergraduate coursework with hands-on research experience in space sciences.
