About this scholarship
Bachelor of Science in Forestry students at UBC Vancouver majoring in Forest Resource Management or Forest Operations may be nominated for this award. Preference goes to third- and fourth-year students focused on timberland planning, appraisal, or valuations who show interest in working in forestry in British Columbia.
Annual scholarships from a $2,000 gift from Ann Henkelman (B.A. 1974), friends, and family are awarded on faculty recommendation. Per-recipient amounts are not published.
The award honours Larry Henkelman (1952-2022), who spent nearly fifty years in forest management and timber appraisals on the coast of BC.
