About this scholarship

Students pursuing a master's degree in the UBC Faculty of Education Students with Visual Impairments program on the Vancouver campus may be considered. Preference is given to experienced British Columbia resident classroom or special education teachers working outside of the Lower Mainland who are sponsored by their district and will continue teaching in the sponsoring school district.

Up to three scholarships totalling $9,400 are offered.

The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate application.

A UBC graduate with a longstanding interest in assisting children who face learning difficulties, particularly students with visual impairment, made the scholarship possible.
