About this scholarship
Sons, daughters, or legally adopted children of highway or transportation construction workers who were killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty may apply for the Lanford Family Highway Worker Memorial Scholarship from ARTBA-TDF.
Scholarships of $10,000 support post-secondary education at accredited two- or four-year colleges, universities, or vocational and technical institutions nationwide.
Complete the ARTBA-TDF application, submit documentation verifying the parent's employment and circumstances, and provide proof of enrollment or acceptance. Awards are granted annually.
Established in 1999 by the families of past ARTBA chairmen Jack and Stan Lanford, the program has awarded nearly $1 million to students since its inception.
