About this scholarship
Female high school seniors who are amateur golfers and residents of Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Walker, or Tuscaloosa counties in Alabama, planning to attend an Alabama college, may apply. Applicants need an ACT score of 22 or higher, academic excellence, good citizenship, sportsmanship, community service, and demonstrated financial need.
One four-year scholarship of $4,000 per year is awarded. The winner need not play golf in college but must maintain a C+ freshman year and B- thereafter.
Applications open in fall for the March 15 deadline. The board selects recipients based on submitted materials and a personal interview. The Lady Legacy Scholarship Foundation supports deserving young women through golf and community involvement.
