About this scholarship
Open to outstanding undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering students at UBC Vancouver taking aerospace courses. Preference is given to students with an interest in human factors and/or aerospace safety. Financial need may be considered.
Award amounts vary. Annual awards are funded by a gift from Koji Victor Ujimoto (B.Sc. 1959, M.A. 1969, Ph.D. 1973) and Mutsuko Ujimoto.
There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and for graduate students, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
The award supports students pursuing studies that contribute to advancements in aerospace safety.
