About this scholarship
New York high school seniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA who are accepted to an accredited BSN nursing program may apply for the Kimberly Coffey Foundation Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Award amounts vary; multiple recipients are selected annually.
Applicants must provide MenACWY and MenB meningococcal vaccination documentation, a reference letter from a high school teacher, and a brief essay on why they chose nursing and why they deserve the scholarship. Submit by May 15.
The scholarship honors Kimberly Coffey, who died from Meningitis B before starting her nursing education.

- Acceptance letter from an accredited AAS (RN) or BSN nursing program
- Documentation of MenACWY meningococcal vaccination and booster (Menactra, Menveo, or MenQuadfi); medical exemptions permitted
- Documentation of starting/completing a MenB meningococcal vaccination series (Bexsero or Trumenba); medical exemptions permitted
- If applicable, documentation of combination MenABCWY vaccination (Penbraya, Penmenvy)
- Reference letter from one or more high school teacher(s)
- Name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address on a separate page
