About this scholarship
Outstanding full-time doctoral students in any discipline at Dalhousie University, Canadian or international, may compete for Killam Predoctoral Scholarships. Applicants must take up the award no later than the seventh term of the PhD and must have spent fewer than six terms (24 months) in the PhD as of May 1 of the award year.
The base value is $42,000 per year for up to three years; concurrent CGRS-D holders can receive a top-up to $48,000 per year with an extended Killam duration into a fourth year. Application and selection are managed at the faculty level; contact your program after mid-October for details.
Killam scholars are expected to take part in Killam community events when possible.
