About this scholarship

Grade 12 students completing a high school diploma at a Calgary Board of Education or Calgary Catholic (City of Calgary) school, with a minimum 65% GPA in Grade 12 and demonstrated financial need, are eligible. International fee-paying students are not eligible. Selection is based primarily on financial need, with academic merit also considered. One award goes to each of the two school boards.

Two awards of up to $4,750. Apply through the EducationMatters Student Award Application Portal; check with your high school scholarship coordinator.

Established in 2006 by the Kids Come First Student Award Fund at Calgary Foundation to help students who might otherwise be discouraged by financial need pursue post-secondary study.
