About this scholarship
Maine residents ages 16 to 22 who are dependents of a worker seriously injured or killed in a compensable work-related accident or occupational disease covered by the Maine Workers' Compensation Board may apply for Kids' Chance of Maine scholarships. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be accepted or enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical school.
Annual awards range from $1,000 to $5,000. Submit the application with an unofficial or official transcript, FAFSA Submission Summary (if attending college), career goals statement, and documentation of the compensable injury or death.
