About this scholarship
Florida residents ages 16 to 25 whose parent had a compensable on-the-job death or serious injury under Florida Workers' Compensation, Longshore/Harbor Workers' Compensation, or federal employees' compensation, resulting in a substantial family income decline, may apply for Kids' Chance of Florida scholarships. Open to high school seniors through graduate students.
Scholarships typically range from $2,000 to $10,000 per year based on available funding; recipients must reapply each year and meet academic standards. A 2.5 GPA and FAFSA are required.
Kids' Chance of Florida provides educational support to children of seriously or fatally injured workers.
