About this scholarship
Full-time master's or doctoral students at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected/refugee-status holders, or international students, whose research focuses on advocacy for the rights of the marginalized, who need financial assistance to write their thesis or research paper full time, and who have advanced sufficiently in that writing, may apply.
One writing grant of $5,000. Apply through Online Scholarships and Bursaries in uoZone with 500-word letters on financial need and research plus a supervisor letter by February 28.
The Katherine Lippel Fund for Graduate Studies in Law awards writing grants so graduate law students can dedicate themselves full time to completing work on marginalized rights.
