K.D. Fryer Gold Medal

University of Waterloo graduating Mathematics students are selected at fall convocation for this gold medal based on high academic standing and good citizenship, including extracurricular involvement in athletics, cultural activities, and student government.

One medalist is chosen annually. No application is required.

The medal honours Kenneth D. Fryer, a Mathematics professor from 1959 until his death in 1984, who served as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
