About this scholarship
Students at the University of British Columbia's Vancouver campus conducting research into the causes of intellectual disabilities, or into improving the diagnosis and health of people with intellectual disabilities, are eligible for this scholarship. Scholarships totalling $1,850 are awarded each year. There is no student application; recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for graduate students.
The fund was established through an estate gift from Norma-Jean Lucille Adams in memory of her daughter, Judy Lynne Adams, to support students working to improve the wellbeing of people living with intellectual disabilities.
