Josie Rewald Memorial Community College Scholarship

Women and other underrepresented genders in engineering and technology who live in the SWE Detroit section area, hold at least a 3.0 GPA, and are high school seniors or current community college students preparing for careers in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science may apply for SWE-Detroit scholarships, including the Josie E. Rewald Memorial Community College Scholarship.

Award amounts vary. Apply through the shared SWE-Detroit college scholarship application form.

SWE-Detroit established this fund in memory of Josie E. Rewald, a SWE Life Member and mentor who championed students and early-career engineers, especially women. It is the Society's first scholarship specifically for community college students.
