About this scholarship
U.S. citizens ages 17 to 25 admitted to or enrolled full time at an accredited four-year historically Black college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for the Joshua David Gardner Memorial Scholarship. There is no major requirement.
At least two one-time awards of $2,000 are given annually for tuition, fees, and books.
Submit official transcripts, three reference letters (including at least one academic reference), and a 500-word essay on an assigned topic about political and social change. Applications are accepted from October 30 through April 30.
