About this scholarship
Students admitted to the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies BA or MA in Labor Studies program who seek to foster diverse leadership in labor unions and labor studies may apply for the Joseph S. Murphy Scholarship for Diversity in Labor. Graduate applicants must be first-time MA students with at least a 3.0 GPA; undergraduate applicants may be first-time or continuing BA students with at least a 2.5 GPA.
Awards of up to $30,000 are available from an annual scholarship pool of up to $150,000 shared across qualified undergraduate and graduate recipients.
Gain admission to the labor program, accept your offer by March, and submit the Diversity Scholarship application by April 15.
