About this scholarship

Full-time graduate students at a recognized Canadian university whose research addresses problems in marine cold regions (Arctic, subarctic, Antarctic, polar, subpolar, or other cold ocean environments) may apply. Qualifying topics include cold-region marine transportation and operations, offshore resource development, ecosystem interactions with shipping or resource operations, climate change impacts, safety and search and rescue, environmental protection, and related special areas.

One award of $3,000 is offered by the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Arctic Section.
