About this scholarship
Students preparing for healthcare careers who demonstrate financial need, meet GPA minimums (2.5 for community college, 3.0 for undergraduate, 3.25 for graduate), and reside in California or attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign may apply for QueensCare's John Joseph Brandlin Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Individual awards are up to $10,000 per year from a $250,000 annual pool. California students may receive renewable one-year awards for up to four years. One four-year scholarship goes to a University of Illinois student.
Apply through the QueensCare funding portal from January 1 through May 1 with financial documentation, transcripts, and recommendations.
The fund honors J. J. Brandlin's 32 years of service to QueensCare, a faith-based nonprofit providing healthcare to low-income Los Angeles County residents.
