John Cross Memorial Award for Knowledge Transfer

For full-time undergraduate School of Professional Communication students at Toronto Metropolitan University with clear academic standing who have completed CMN 210 with at least a B+ and who excel at communicating specialized knowledge to non-experts.

The award is valued at $1,000.

Applicants submit one individual class assignment (text and visuals) from a Fall or Winter course that translates specialized information for a non-expert audience; a written explanation of the assignment's purpose, process, intended audience impact, and ethics; and a CV or resume showing public or community volunteer work.

The award honours a career employee in information systems supporting cancer research and treatment.
