About this scholarship

First Nations, Inuit, or Métis undergraduate students of Canada in the UBC Faculty of Forestry on the Vancouver campus may be considered.

Awards totalling $4,000 have been made available through an endowment established by John Innes and family; individual amounts vary. Awards may be renewable for up to an additional three years provided the recipient remains in good academic standing.

There is no separate student application; awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry.

Dr. John Innes joined the UBC Faculty of Forestry in 1999, became Dean in 2010, and has dedicated his career to advancing sustainable forest management practices.
