About this scholarship

Black or African-American graduating U.S. high school seniors with a passion for the creative or performing arts who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college may apply for the Joseph M. Fannell Memorial Foundation JMF Memorial Scholarship.

One merit award is offered. Only one JMF application per student is permitted each cycle.

Submit the application with a scholarship essay, official high school transcript, letter of recommendation, and college acceptance letter, all as PDFs.

The foundation was established after Joseph Fannell's death to help young people overcome obstacles and reach their potential, especially in the arts.
