About this scholarship
Western Pennsylvania residents, including those in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Westmoreland, and Washington counties, who are enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited four-year college with a major in journalism, English writing, or communications and a minimum 3.25 GPA may apply.
One recipient receives up to $7,500 per year. The scholarship also includes summer internships at Trib Total Media and an offer of full-time employment after graduation.
Submit the application package by January 31. The award honors the late Trib Total Media managing editor Jim Borden and his commitment to passionate, ethical journalism.
