Jewish United Fund Merit Israel Experience Scholarship

High school sophomores through young adults up to age 23 who reside in or attend school in metropolitan Chicago and demonstrate significant leadership skills may apply if they have applied to an approved Israel experience program that begins after the application deadline.

Merit scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually. Financial need is not considered, and previous recipients may not reapply.

Submit the online application and one letter of recommendation by March 15. The Jewish United Fund aims to strengthen Jewish identity and nourish commitment to Israel and the Chicago Jewish community.
