About this scholarship

Current graduating seniors or GED recipients from a public or private high school in Lancaster County, Nebraska, who plan to attend an accredited nonprofit two- or four-year college or university may apply. Preference is given to students planning to attend a Nebraska institution.

Awards are up to $5,000. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and should apply for institutional financial aid before seeking foundation assistance.

  • Applicants must answer THREE (3) of the six supplemental questions listed (each response 100 words maximum)
  • Must be a current graduating high school senior, former graduate of a public/private high school in Lancaster County, NE, or a GED graduate residing in Lancaster County, NE
  • Planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year nonprofit college/university (preference for Nebraska institutions)
  • Financial need may be considered
  • Complete the Lincoln Community Foundation general application first, then apply to the Student Success Scholarship to answer supplemental questions
  • List up to five scholarships/grants expected to be received (name and amount)
  • Application deadline: 03/15/2026
  • Apply for institutional financial aid before seeking foundation assistance.
  • Answer three of six supplemental questions, with each response limited to 100 words.
  • Complete the Lincoln Community Foundation general application and Student Success Scholarship application.
  • List up to five expected scholarships or grants, including name and amount.
