About this scholarship

High school seniors in San Diego County, California, with a GPA of 3.2 or higher who intend to enroll in undergraduate study at a four-year university may apply. Students of all religions are eligible. Selection combines financial need with merit shown through community service or entrepreneurial ventures.

Renewable scholarship support of up to $5,000 is available for students with outstanding achievement in entrepreneurial ventures, community service, or the workplace. Awards can cover tuition and associated college costs.

Submit the FAFSA in advance and complete the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego application with all required documents. The scholarship honors Jeff Sollender, a biotech entrepreneur and philanthropist.
