Jeanne Henuset-Fraser Memorial Bursary for Rural Manitoba Students

For women from rural Manitoba (outside Winnipeg and Brandon) who demonstrate financial need and are entering at least their second year at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Applicants must pursue a certificate, diploma, or degree that leads to direct employment in the field of study after graduation, and provide one letter of reference.

One or more bursaries ranging from $500 to $2,500 are applied directly to tuition.

Established in memory of Jeanne Henuset-Fraser, who was raised on a farm in Pipestone, Manitoba and left school at 12 to care for her family. She advocated for higher education for her nieces and nephews and hoped this bursary would help others pursue the education she could not.
