About this scholarship

For First Nations, Inuit, or Metis students of Canada pursuing graduate or teacher education degrees at UBC based on a project related to Indigenous people.

Prizes totalling $1,000 are available and named in honour of Dr. Jean Barman, an outstanding professor who taught and worked in this area. Awards are made on Indigenous Teacher Education Program recommendation in consultation with the Office of Indigenous Education.

There is no separate application.
