Janet Bews Scholarship in Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementias

Collaborative nursing students at Trent University enrolled in 3000- or 4000-level nursing courses, or compressed nursing students enrolled in 2000-level nursing courses at the time of application, who show a career interest in nursing care for persons with dementia may apply.

Up to two awards of $5,000 are available. Selection is based on academic merit, an essay, and an interview.

The scholarship was established by the Alzheimer Society of Peterborough and Area in memory of Professor Janet P. Bews, a member of the Trent Classics Department from 1966 to 1999 and a strong advocate for the Alzheimer Society.
