James Saya Award

Open to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Contemporary Dance) program at Concordia University whose commitment and spirit toward contemporary dance reflect the values of James Saya.

One award is granted through competition; the value varies by year. Apply in writing to the Chair of the Contemporary Dance Department and explain the need and importance of the artistic activity you wish to pursue.

The Contemporary Dance Department established this award in 1991 in memory of faculty member James Saya, a performer, choreographer, and rehearsal director active from 1985 to 1990.
