About this scholarship
Incoming freshmen at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign who graduated from an Illinois high school are automatically considered for the James Hunter Anthony & Gerald E. Blackshear Endowment when they apply for admission. No separate scholarship application is required, and consideration is not limited by major.
The award equals full coverage of tuition and fees for an academic year and is renewable annually for up to four years if you maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and continuous eligibility. The number of scholarships awarded varies each year. Awards apply to fall and spring semesters only unless otherwise noted.
