About this scholarship

Students who authored journalism published in any media, such as the press, radio, or television, during the twelve months immediately preceding the closing date of the competition, are eligible.

The prize is worth $700. One award is granted annually in April.

A committee including a practicing journalist, appointed by the Department of English, judges entries. The award must be accepted in a form approved by the Department of English that encourages a career in journalism.
