About this scholarship
California college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need may apply through Los Defensores. Service in the Hispanic community is also considered.
Seven scholarships are awarded: five $5,000 awards for CSU undergraduates in journalism or communication, and two up to $12,500 awards for UC graduate law students.
Applications open June 22 and close July 24. Submit your application through the Los Defensores scholarship portal.
