About this scholarship
Open to graduating JD students at Osgoode Hall Law School. Up to two awards are given annually to graduating students who have achieved academic excellence and who, throughout their time at Osgoode, have demonstrated dedication to professionalism through courtesy, honesty, and integrity both in and outside the classroom.
The award amount varies.
The award was established in honour of Jack Walker on the 50th anniversary of his call to the Bar. Jack graduated from Osgoode in 1965, taught at the law school for a number of years, and became one of Canada's most renowned property tax lawyers. He co-founded the International Property Tax Institute, founded the Ontario Property Tax Lawyers Association, and has written extensively on assessment and property taxation.
