About this scholarship
Applicants must be a PSAC member in good standing or the dependent child under 26 of a member in good standing, with up-to-date union dues and a signed PSAC membership card. Prior winners of this program are not eligible for another award. The program is not limited to first-year students.
The scholarship is $2,000. One award is available.
Apply with a 750 to 850-word essay, YouTube video, infographic, song, or other creative submission addressing the program's scholarship questions. Submissions must be original, cite sources, acknowledge any AI assistance, and stay within five minutes if using video or audio.

- A 750- to 850-word essay, or an original creative submission such as a video, infographic, song, or other format addressing the scholarship questions.
- Creative video or audio submissions must be no longer than five minutes.
- Written essays must be submitted in Word format with the applicant's full name and page numbers in the header or footer of every page.
- Word limit stated verbatim on the official page as a '750- to 850-word essay' (range 750-850 words; wordLimit set to the 850 upper bound).
- Instead of a written essay, applicants may submit an original creative submission (video, infographic, song, or other format) no longer than five minutes.
