About this scholarship
College, graduate, or post-graduate students enrolled at least half time in an accredited Oregon degree program may apply. Out-of-state students must provide proof of Oregon residency. You must be at least 18 at the time of signing the application.
The award is $2,000, split equally between your institution for tuition and school expenses and a direct payment to you for living or personal use. More than one applicant may receive the scholarship, with funds divided equally.
Submit a video under seven minutes or a written piece of 1,000 to 2,000 words in PDF format. Your submission should describe a climate action you have taken or outline a plan for how students can address climate change.

What else to submit
- Either a 1,000-to-2,000-word PDF written submission or a video of seven minutes or less
- Applicant chooses ONE of two topics (an action taken, or an idea/plan for how students can stop climate change).
- Written submission: 1,000 to 2,000 words, submitted in PDF format.
- Alternatively, a video of 7 minutes or less in a format suitable for sharing on YouTube and other video platforms (in lieu of the written essay).
- Word range is 1,000-2,000; wordLimit recorded as the 2,000 upper bound (minimum is 1,000).
- Choose one submission topic: describe a climate action already taken, or describe an idea and plan for how students can address climate change.
- Out-of-state students must provide proof of Oregon residency.
