About this scholarship

Illinois residents or students enrolled at an accredited Illinois college or university who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study may apply. Graduate students are also welcome. You need a cumulative college GPA of at least 2.5 and must be a full-time student in a water-related field such as civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, or wastewater systems operation.

IWEA may award up to two scholarships of up to $1,000 each. Recipients are announced at IWEA's annual conference, and funds apply to the next academic year.

Apply through the online form. Attach a resume, essay or personal statement, reference letter, and transcripts in PDF format. Unofficial transcripts are accepted.
