Irene Runnels-Paula McStay Scholarships

Full-time students at a Texas public or private university majoring in radio, television, film, public relations, digital marketing, advertising, communications, or broadcasting may apply for Irene Runnels-Paula McStay scholarships from the Dallas Area Alliance for Women in Media Foundation.

Two scholarships of $5,000 are awarded. Funds are paid directly to the university financial aid office for undergraduate or graduate tuition.

Applicants need at least 30 completed credit hours and a 3.25 overall GPA or 3.0 in the major. The application opens September 1 and closes February 28. Selection weighs career goals, activities, honors, community service, and references.

The scholarships honor distinguished Dallas broadcaster Irene Runnels and Fort Worth advertising executive Paula McStay.
