About this scholarship
High school seniors entering their first year at an accredited degree-granting college or university within one year of graduation may apply if they are dependents of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers members in good standing in the U.S. or Canada.
Awards are up to $5,000 from an annual pool of up to $100,000. Selection considers academics, activities, career goals, and the essay.
Submit a 350- to 500-word essay on why someone should consider a career as a union Boilermaker (including an interview with a Boilermaker), proof of relationship, and a high school transcript. Applications are accepted from January 1 through March 1.
