Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements

Indigenous students who apply to the CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC CGRS M program and whose applications are deemed meritorious can be considered for the Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements Pilot Initiative.

The initiative provides additional financial support to meritorious Indigenous CGRS M applicants. Successful candidates must provide documentation supporting their affirmation of Indigenous citizenship or membership before receiving the award.

Consideration is tied to the CGRS M application. Applicants must be eligible for CGRS M, self-identify as Indigenous for this initiative, and follow the pilot initiative instructions.
