About this scholarship
Indigenous students (First Nations, Non-Status, Métis, or Inuit) who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and plan to enrol full-time in an Ontario Tech research-based master's or doctoral program may apply. Candidates need an A- average for admission (GPA 3.7 on a 4.3 scale, or 80 to 84 percent). Selection also considers academic, personal, professional, and cultural knowledge.
Two awards are available per academic year (one master's, one doctoral), each valued at $10,000 per year for the standard program length, normally two years for a master's student and four years for a doctoral student. The scholarship is over and above minimum funding and may be combined with other awards.
