About this scholarship
Indigenous doctoral students at UBC Vancouver who have completed between 32 and 44 months of full-time doctoral study and reached candidacy may apply for a fifth year of funding. Priority is given to Indigenous students whose traditional territory falls, at least in part, within Canada.
The award provides a stipend of $25,000 plus tuition for 12 months, held during months 49 through 60 of the doctoral program.
Applicants submit an application form with a brief description of proposed research and an outline of research methodology and community engagement, signed by the applicant and their research supervisor, to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
