About this scholarship
Permanent Illinois residents enrolled full-time at an Illinois institution of higher learning during the upcoming academic year (excluding summer session) may apply for Illinois Sheriffs' Association college scholarships.
Scholarships range from $500 to $1,000, up to $1,000 per recipient. Each participating county awards at least one scholarship. Funds cover tuition, fees, and books only and are paid directly to the school.
Submit the application and required essay to the sheriff's office in your county of residence. Immediate family of the sheriff are ineligible, but families of sheriff's office employees may apply.
