About this scholarship
Juniors and above at Illinois universities enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs (engineering technology majors are not eligible) with a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need may apply for the Illinois Engineering Initiative Scholarship.
One $2,000 award is given. Selection is based on scholarship, financial need, involvement, and career interest.
Submit the application and needs analysis form, official transcripts sent separately, two letters of reference (one from a department chair or faculty member and one from a past employer or professional contact), and a typewritten essay of 200 words or fewer outlining your career goals as a professional engineer.
