About this scholarship
The IEEE Power & Energy Society Scholarship Plus Initiative awards up to $10,000 toward educational expenses to undergraduates interested in power and energy engineering careers, along with networking opportunities and direct connections to power and energy companies and internships.
Applicants must be full-time undergraduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA pursuing a degree in an IEEE-designated field (including engineering, computer science, math, and physical sciences) at an ABET- or CEAB-accredited university in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada. Students must have completed, or plan to complete, at least three courses (nine credits) related to power and energy, and must be U.S. citizens, Canadian citizens, or U.S. permanent residents.
IEEE membership is not required, though applicants need a free IEEE web account. Applications for the 2026 cycle closed April 30.
