About this scholarship
Maryland residents under age 26 with significant financial need may qualify for the Howard P. Rawlings Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant for full-time undergraduate study at eligible Maryland institutions. You must begin college within six years of high school graduation or earning a GED.
The maximum award is $18,000 per year based on calculated need. Awards help cover tuition and educational expenses at eligible two- or four-year Maryland colleges and universities.
File the FAFSA or MHEC One-App by March 1 and submit any required supplemental documentation by August 1.
