About this scholarship

Southwest Florida residents who need financial assistance to attend Howard University may apply for the Howard Club of Southwest Florida Scholarship. Eligible applicants include graduating or recently graduated high school seniors, current Howard undergraduates or graduate students, and students at other colleges seeking to transfer to or enroll in Howard graduate programs.

Scholarship amounts vary based on available funds and applicant need. Awards are disbursed directly to Howard University and must be used within 12 months.

Submit the application, official transcript, 500-word essay, and two letters of recommendation by January 15. You may also be invited to an interview.

  • Applicant may be invited to an interview.
