About this scholarship
Outstanding UBC Vancouver graduate students enrolled in a degree program or research project offered by the School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP) may be considered. Financial need may be taken into account.
Variable awards are funded through an endowment established by How Yin Leung (M.Sc. 1970) and Wai Hung (Elsie) Leung.
Recipients are selected on the recommendation of SCARP in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
How Yin Leung was a SCARP graduate and planner who spent most of his career in senior management with the City of Surrey, BC. He and Elsie established the endowment to support outstanding graduate students at his alma mater.
